Great Ideas Can Come From Unexpected Places

The person who I admire the most was a very unlikely hero. His name was Aldo and he was a small, quiet, older man who owned a second-hand shop in our town.  I used to love to stop by on my way home from grammar school.  Aldo would tinker in his workshop and build things.  As he worked he explained how they worked and even how to make things which can be sold.  It was not until years later that I realized my kindly little neighbor owned the patent on an invention and was wealthy.  His money allowed him to spend time working at what he loved.  Later I went on to become an engineer and create things in my own way, thanks to Aldo’s encouragement.
