Uncle becomes New Landlord
My uncle recently decided to rent out his house and move to another town. We were discussing the advantages and disadvantages of becoming a landlord. I recommended that he find some landlords resources on the Internet or from the county to get information about the laws about rental properties. I know there is a lot that he will need to know and I am not sure that he realizes how difficult this may be for him. Perhaps it will be a smooth relationship if he rents to someone that he already knows but if he rents to a total stranger, he better understand what his responsibilities will be.
