The latest therapies in acne treatment

Today some treatments known as procedural therapies are being widely used in  acne treatments. They involve the use of light, laser and machines to clear the skin pores and initiate a recovery. They are used along with topical and systemic treatments. In laser therapy, laser beams are used to destroy the bacteria and open up the skin pores. It also lessens the inflammation and reduces the size of the oil glands. Laser therapy is today used for treating mild, moderate and also severe forms of acne. Light is used with chemicals like glycolic acid, alpha hydroxyl and beta hydroxyl to clean the skin pores by removing the dead skin. The procedure is called light chemical peel, though at no time is peeling done. Light is used to give cosmetic treatment to people with mild or moderate acne. Light peel is also used for treating serious acne cases.
