When I got my check, I was surprised to see that instead of the overtime hours that I should have been given, my boss had applied them to my check as training hours instead so that he didn’t have to pay me overtime for them. I contacted overtime attorneys in the area to inquire about whether this was legal and found out that had I trained for a different position, it would have been, but since I had not– and he admitted to that, it was nothing more than a load of garbage. I was furious for being taking advantage of and contacted labor and industries immediately as well as started the proceedings for a lawsuit.
