Devices like, mace and pepper spray are essential ingredients of a population afraid to exit their door after dark.
If you decide not to defend yourself with something like pepper spray or the like, well then you have just decided to become a statistic.
I wouldn’t even think of trying to go out for a walk after dark without some kind of protection at hand.
When I think of pepper spray, I think of a kind of well being that comes with being protected.
