Going it Alone or Chartering a Boat?
I was trying to decide if I wanted to try to do the whole lobstering thing myself or if I wanted to go on a chartered boat that is supposed to teach you how to catch lobsters and take you to some good lobster spots. What I ended up doing was booking a chartered boat for the first day of the season, and rented a boat for the second day. This way, I could get a lesson in on finding good spots to catch a florida lobster and how to actually catch them, than the next day I could enjoy being by myself while I tried to catch some more.
