Biopsy

Coagulation factorsIn liver disease, multiple coagulation defects may occur. Two mechanisms contribute to the deficiency of coagulation factors :( 1) in obstructive jaundice, the bile source required for the absorption of the fat soluble vitamin k results un a decreased synthesis of prothrombin, and (2) hepatocellular dysfunction is accompanied by an  inability of the liver to synthesize the prothrobin.Abnormal values for the prothrombin time have been noted in a variety of hepatic disease with parenchymal damage, and determination is particularly applicable in the evaluation of patients undergoing liver biopsy or surgical procedures .ICD10 Certification makes you spend more time with patients and increase the quality of the care.
