Lindsey Vonn looks towards Vancouver Olympics
Lindsey Vonn has been renowned as one of the best skiers in the world and yet has no Olympic medal to show for it. According her bio on the US Ski Team site, Vonn is one of the few world class ski racers. She is the only American woman to have won two World Cup overal titles, but she also has two downhill titles and a super G title.
Vonn, however, has been plagued with bad luck when it comes to the Olympic games. In her 2002 Olympic debut she took sixth overall and in 2006 at Torino she suffered a crash which forced her to be hospitalized, but raced on a bruised hip earning only eighth place. She will be competing with the rest of the usa women ski team at the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver.
