Environmentally Responsible Commercial Construction
There is so much commercial building construction being done right now. I worry about what impact it will have on the environment. I was happy to learn about the LEED green building rating system for commercial structures. The goal is for the building process to send less waste to the landfills and to create a building that conserves energy and water. The GBCI is helping to plan for tomorrow with the leed exam, which provides certification for anyone who is interested in becoming an expert in the field of environmentally sustainable design. I think this will really help the environment in the long run.
