Surfing The Web Responsibly

Anonymous surfing has its uses, but mostly it’s for personal reasons that we avail of this service. We use it to bypass restrictions on some websites that we want to go to or simply because we want to protect our online privacy.

We all have the right to access information, but this does not mean that we can access it indiscriminately. Anonymous surfing is fine, but inside school or office premises, we should respect any restrictions on online activities. They are there for a reason, and it is unfair to the rest of the population if we bypass the rules just because we can.

A popular phrase goes, “a place for everything and everything in its place.”  Avoid using software such as anonymizers to get around school or office regulations. Activities like these are what give people (usually the ones in authority) a negative impression of anonymous surfing. Please surf responsibly.
